Scotts Collision Center

Scott W. Dewalt started Scott's Auto Body around January 1, 1971. Its first location was on South 11th. St. in Easton. During his first year in business, Scott worked alone and the business did not make a profit. Feeling the need to become a stronger entity, Scott's Auto Body became incorporated on August 3, 1973 under the name of Scott's Auto Service, Inc. In 1974, with more than five employees, the business was relocated to 106 W. Fairfield Ave. in Forks Township. At this location, business began to prosper. Scott's was a full-service auto repair center specializing in collision and mechanical work. At this location, we earned our reputation for quality. This is also the location where we developed our strong customer base that we cherish to this day. In fact, many of these customers and their extended families are with us today.

During the early 1980's, it was realized that we could not keep up with the amount of work that was coming in. So in January of 1987, the business was once again relocated to a 7,200 sq. ft. facility, located at 1200 Bushkill Dr. in Easton. During this move, an important change took place: Scott's dropped from the mechanical repair industry to specialize solely in collision repair. This turned out to be an excellent decision because we can now dedicate our efforts to providing our customers with the highest quality collision repairs possible. Our mechanical background was not forgotten though. This background has come to be useful because we have the experience to handle most mechanical issues associated with an accident. This allows us to be a one-stop facility for all collision repairs.

In 1997 the time came to build a larger facility. We settled on a 19,000+ sq. ft. facility that we built from the ground up on 5 acres in Forks Township. We moved into the facility at 3715 Sullivan Trail on October 10, 1998. With the size of this building, we should not have to add on, but if we do, our lot size will accommodate an addition. With this new state-of-the-art facility, we will be able to provide our customers with the quality repairs that they deserve in a time frame that will suit them.

In 2005, it was realized that our services were in demand in other areas.  After searching for over a year, we came upon a location in Monroe County.  In January of 2007 we officially purchased the former Body Shop by Jim Schlier off Golden Slipper Rd. between Stroudsburg and Tannersville, PA.  The building is about 14,000 square feet and is on 9 acres of land.  Because of this, we will be able to provide our services to the growing population of Monroe County for many years to come.
